  1. Hi, Mr. Sands! I just finished listening to Karl's Last Flight, the first book of yours that I've experienced. I really liked it! It had countless elements that are very interesting to me. I can hardly wait to move on to 65 Below.

By the way, I've always been interested in amphibious assault ships, but I wasn't aware of the Belleau Wood until I heard your book. Did you know she was being overhauled in 1985? According to Wikipedia. Might have been finished by October, but it says the Harrier didn't land on the Devil Dog until '87. But hey, maybe that's just what the public knew, right? ;)

So weird to think she sits at the bottom of the Pacific now. Hard to believe they do that.

  2. Scott, so glad you enjoyed the book. As far as the Belleau Wood yeah, I took a little artistic license with the timeline. That provided me with an excuse in the event someone tried to tie my fiction to real events.

Enjoy the podcasts, and if you'd like to read the books as well be aware the more detailed complete versions are available as ebooks at Amazon.
